Pickleball Dink+ ("the App") is operated by JRM Software, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, gender, and profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from those services.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including events you create or join, game scores, group memberships, and chat messages you send.

Device Information: If you enable push notifications, we collect your device token to deliver notifications. We also collect basic device information (platform type) for this purpose.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the App's features (events, matchmaking, scoring, chat, leaderboards)
  • To send you push notifications about events, scores, chat messages, and waitlist updates (with your permission)
  • To display your profile to other group members
  • To generate leaderboards and player statistics within your groups
  • To improve and maintain the App

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With other users: Your name, profile photo, gender, game results, and statistics are visible to other members of groups you belong to.
  • Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the App (Microsoft Azure for hosting and data storage, Google and Apple for authentication, Twilio for SMS verification). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure servers. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls to protect your information.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information, though some anonymized data (such as game scores) may be retained for leaderboard integrity.

6. Your Rights

You can:

  • Update your profile information at any time in the App's Settings
  • Control push notification preferences in Settings
  • Request a copy of your data by contacting us
  • Request deletion of your account by contacting us

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
